Dave East Asbury Park Concert reviews
Where was VanZant ?
Let me start by saying that I witnessed Dave East at the peak of their fame in the 80s, and now at the lowest point.
I spent over 2 hours in line for the ferry to attend a casino show in Kingston WA by one of my beloved bands. The venue was smaller than their usual ones, which was a positive aspect.
The show turned out to be quite disappointing as the energy and showmanship of VanZant were missing, even though Barnes did perform their hits.
The band's performance was almost identical to a show they did a year ago, speeches included. They did play all their hits, including the usual medley.
It was evident that the band was not enthusiastic about performing, and they even enforced a strict no-cell-phone policy, going as far as kicking out audience members for taking photos. This behavior made it seem like they were ashamed of playing at such a venue.
If you want to save your money, I recommend purchasing the "live from Texas CD" instead.
